Spike
Spike is a vital part of our operations, both on the land and for
our organization.
Spike was born November 1, 2000. His mother, Ebbie, was a purebred Rottweiller and his
father was "Rover". Once we located his owners we found out "Rover" was part
German Shepard, part Newfoundland and a little bit of Grey Wolf.

Spike decided, from the time he opened his eyes, that he had been born for the
sole (or is that soul?) purpose to shadow and protect Noel. He instinctively knew that he had his
task set out for him because a puppy from this litter was just not on Noel's agenda
at that time. To make matters worse, he not only had to convince her in the wisdom
of his ways but also me, as Noel and I vacationed in Vermont.
Obviously, he was wiser than we were!
And Spike, being part Newfoundland and part wolf (and therefore a real hardworking and
smart Canadian)returned to Canada with Noel and Andy.
